Banner Ads
Using Banner Advertising in the form of text, images or videos can be very effective to get your company brand known and market to relevant users on the internet.
Google has the largest number of partner sites on the internet in order to provide relevant advertising to their users. Some of Google's partners include Channel 4, Reuters UK, Times Online, The Daily Mail, and The Register. Google's content network reaches 64% of all unique searchers. Through the content network we can advertise our clients in 20 languages and in over 100 different countries. Google's main focus is on relevance, and we create the type of advert that you want to appear in relevant places. There are a couple of methods:
Content Targeting (or Contextual targeting): This is similar to a search engine. When a user types a word into a search box, we show ads that are related to that word. With content targeting, when a user is browsing the Internet, we show ads related to the content that the user is reading. In both cases, we show contextually relevant ads. We will tailor the targeting of the campaign according to the amount of budget available to spend. This is a perfect way to build up awareness of your company. Google prices content network ads on a CPC basis, the same as the search network.
Site Targeting: From Google's Content Network we can produce a site targeting pack which will include the most relevant sites you want to advertise on. From this, together we can select a really defined list of where you want to appear. In order to do this we must understand firstly the content of what you want to advertise, and secondly the demographics of people you want to target (i.e. age, gender, income, and race). Site targeted ads are priced on a CPM basis, and pay according to every one thousand impressions your ad receives. The higher the CPM bid price we set, the higher percentage of impressions your ad receives.
For both formats we are able to make the most of Google's Smart Pricing program which assesses which are the best sites to put your advert on and at what time, to give our advertisers the best ROI.
We can advertise text ads, image ads, flash ads and video ads on the Content Network. There are size restrictions which we consult with all our clients to explain.
What we do is build and manage these advertising sources to give you the best results. From advertising in Google's content network in conjunction with Pay Per Click, we have seen our clients' sales considerably increase.
Yahoo!
Yahoo! reaches 53% of all UK internet users through its content partners.
We can place contextually target adverts in Yahoo! Mail, Yahoo! News, Yahoo! Finance and Yahoo! Sport for example. We can build extremely targeted contextual ads, and we can place your ads next to relevant content; e.g. ads to sell football boots next to football related articles.
Yahoo! has an extensive range of advert sizes and designs that you can use, however the main ones are text, image, flash and video. We can consult with you to design the best type of ad to suit your needs. There are two types of pricing structures for Yahoo; Class 1 and Class 2 inventory.
Class 1 inventory: This is charged on a CPM basis, and the CPM price varies according to the section of Yahoo that it is on (the more traffic the higher the CPM), and pricing rates vary quarterly.
Class 2 inventory: Charged on a CPC basis. Same advertising, although not all sizes of adverts are available for this format, however it gives us the option to build adverts on CPC if our clients find it easier.
MSN
We can create banner advertising on the Windows Live service. MSN is defined as a portal, however because of its popular resources such as Hotmail, Messenger and Windows Live service; banner advertising is an effective method here. Windows Live is MSN's content network. We can place targeted ads throughout the Windows Live network.
Homepage: we can setup banner advertising that will capture all the impressions on MSN's homepage for a whole day, however this comes at a price. Please feel free to contact us for details on 0870 145 1017.
MSN has separate portals for individual industries, such as Careers, Cars, Games, Money, Music, News and Property. The CPM varies on all of them, because the traffic volumes vary.
Hotmail has 8.3 million unique users each month in the UK, and has twice as many users as the nearest competitor. We can set up banner advertising to target specific age groups, gender, occupation, and UK region. The CPM depends on the type of banner (size, shape and content) and also the targeting specifications. We can also create banner adverts targeted at different demographics using Messenger. The different demographic options are the same as Hotmail; age, gender, occupation and UK region. There are 11.1 million unique users each month in the UK.
