This is advantageous over the networks because they have an automated system for matching affiliates and merchants, we maintain your best interests at heart for considerably less money.
Affiliate marketing is a proven method of generating extra revenue and traffic, and is currently growing at a substantial rate. The strategy is simple but we understand at first it may seem daunting, here is a simplistic step by step approach to an Affiliate programme:
- A company signs up on an Affiliate Network such as Affiliate Future, Webgains, Trade Doubler or Commission junction. This fee varies from £500 to anything up to £2000.
- The company (the merchant) then uploads branded banners and adverts on to the network; this will be now available to all affiliates on that network.
- When this is complete the company will need to integrate a code into the html on the basket or checkout page on their website, therefore when a transaction takes place it will notify the Affiliate Network and the relative commission will be paid.
- The commission needs to be set for every time one of the click throughs on your banners is converted. For ease we will use 10% as an example.
- If someone lands on an affiliate’s page, clicks through your banner and buys an item worth £50, that affiliate would need to be paid £5.
- Now this is where the Affiliate Off Payment comes into play. All networks set a 30% override as there charge for the service. Therefore with this example a total of £6.50 would be payable by you the merchant. £5 to the affiliate as commission, and £1.50 to network which will be taken out of the off payment handled by ourselves for every transaction.
Our monthly management fee will be spent on finding new affiliates that we expect will do well with your programme and then partnering you together. We will also advertise your offer on a major affiliate forum.
